Reading list
Studies and reviews
The weight result is the beginning of this list. The questions spread out from there.
Where to begin
STEP 1 supplies the weight-loss comparison. My next stops would be SELECT and FLOW for the cardiovascular and kidney outcomes that widened my interest. The heart-failure trial adds symptoms and physical limitations to the conversation.
The rodent neural-pathway study is the most surprising appetite paper on this list to me. It sits beside a mechanistic review and an early human alcohol-use-disorder trial, each asking a different question. For the cautions, start with the safety review and the SUSTAIN-6 cardiovascular and retinopathy findings.
